Privacy policy

Crosswire ("we") bridges Slack channels to Telegram groups. This page explains what data the service holds, why, for how long, and how to get it out. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.

What we store

  • Your Slack workspace ID and name, and the Slack user ID of whoever installed the app and whoever signs in.
  • Slack channel IDs and Telegram group IDs for the bridges you create, plus your Telegram bot's token, encrypted at rest.
  • Message ID mappings: which Slack message corresponds to which Telegram message. IDs and timestamps only.
  • An audit log of dashboard actions (connect, pause, delete), and monthly message counts for fair-use limits.
  • Billing status via Stripe. Card details never touch our servers; Stripe processes payment.

What we never store

  • Message content. Messages and files relay in flight and are not persisted or logged.
  • Slack direct messages. Crosswire does not request DM access at all.

How long we keep it

Message ID mappings are deleted automatically after 30 days. Bridge configuration is deleted when you delete your account; account and audit records are irreversibly anonymised, with billing records retained as required by law.

Your rights (GDPR)

From the dashboard you can export everything Crosswire holds about your account (Settings → Export data) and delete your account (Settings → Danger zone). Deletion is immediate and irreversible: bridge data is erased and account records are irreversibly anonymised. For any data request you cannot self-serve, email support@usecrosswire.com; we respond within 30 days.

Who processes your data

  • Fly.io — application hosting
  • Neon — Postgres database (encrypted tokens, IDs, audit log)
  • Stripe — payments
  • Sentry — error monitoring (scrubbed of secrets; no message content)
  • Slack and Telegram — the platforms being bridged, under their own policies

Cookies

Crosswire sets essential cookies only: a session cookie after Slack sign-in, a CSRF token, and short-lived state cookies during OAuth. No analytics or advertising cookies.
